Healthy Blood

When we look at the health statistics we see that cardiovascular disease is the number one killer in both the USA and Australia (and probably many other countries), so what are some of the causes of cardiovascular disease?

The blood plays a major role in maintaining our health. Among many other things it transports oxygen to the cells, hormones to their receptors and waste products from the cells to the appropriate organ for elimination. It is common knowledge throughout the medical fraternity that free flowing blood is essential to good health. This is one of the reasons why the prescribing of drugs such as warfarin and aspirin by doctors is so common.

People, whose blood has become ‘sticky’ and doesn’t flow properly, can be subject to blood clots (thrombosis) and other health challenges such as high blood pressure. Sticky blood also puts more strain on the heart as it tries to pump this thicker blood through the system.

Types of food and processing methods play a major role in the effects on the body. So too do the additives that are used in the processing. Many such foods and additives can cause ‘agglutination’ of the blood and most people are unaware of this. Certainly, the manufacturers and marketers of such products are not going to tell us.

When we consume foods that cause ‘stickiness’ or ‘agglutination’ of the blood, the cumulative effects on our bodies can be devastating and, over a period of time, lead to cardiovascular disease and other health challenges.

Even fit individuals who do lots of exercise, play sport and so on, can be at risk if they consume damaging foods or drinks on a regular basis. Many ‘fit’ people are actually quite ‘unhealthy’.
